Pool repair near Huntington Trails, Round Rock, TX

Huntington Trails is the closest neighborhood to our shop. About a mile away, six minutes door to door.

HARD WATER AND WHAT IT DOES

What Huntington Trails pools are up against

The water here's hard, about 14.5 grains per gallon. The city's 2023 report puts the average at 249 parts per million, with a range from 176 to 338 across the year. That lime has to go somewhere, and on a pool it goes onto your salt cell and into your heater.

Heaters and hard water

The water here's hard, and a heater feels it before you do. When one starts throwing a code we read what it says and fix the part that has actually failed. Pool heater repair.

Pumps on older equipment

These are older pools on larger lots, so the pump is often the oldest thing on the pad. A drip at the seal or a new noise is worth a call before it becomes a motor. Pool pump repair.

Two golf courses of debris

With a course on each side of you, fairway trees and clippings reach the water more than they would three streets in. Your filter carries that load. Filter cleaning and filter repair.

The neighborhood off Gattis School Road

Huntington Trails sits east of Red Bud Lane, south of Gattis School Road, just west of SH 130. If you look it up at the county you'll find it under a different name. The plat reads Forest Creek Estates, which is why searching for Huntington sometimes turns up nothing. Either name, it's the same Williamson County neighborhood, and we cover it either way.

Huntington Trail runs through the middle of it, with Amistad Drive, Windcrest Drive, Quail Ravine Road and East and West Nakoma coming off it. These are older, larger lots than the subdivisions that went up around them in the late nineties.

One thing worth knowing, because it changes your pool water. Your mail says Round Rock, but the utility that bills you for water out here may not be the city. It's worth checking your bill, because it changes what your water is doing to your equipment.

EVERY PART OF HUNTINGTON TRAILS

Pool cleaning service across Huntington Trails

What your pool needs here depends a good deal on which streets you're on.

Along Huntington Trail

The spine of the neighborhood, with the largest lots and the most mature trees. More leaf load than the newer subdivisions west of Red Bud.

Toward East and West Nakoma

The eastern streets closest to the SH 130 frontage road, open enough that wind does real work on the water.

Windcrest and Quail Ravine

The western side nearest Red Bud Lane, and the quickest stretch for us to reach.

The southern streets

The southern end of the neighborhood. Same ground, same trees, same work for us.

SALT CONVERSION

Switching to salt, starting at $2,200

These are older pools, and plenty are still on tablets. Salt is easier to live with and gentler on the water, and the cell needs cleaning on schedule either way. Text us and we'll come out and look at your setup. That visit is free: a conversion has to be priced off the equipment you actually have, so we see it first, then send you a written quote.

THE GROUND UNDER HUNTINGTON TRAILS

Why the ground under Huntington Trails matters

Huntington Trails sits on Austin and Whitewright soils, a chalky mix that runs about 45 percent clay. The ground is well drained and sits at roughly 747 feet.

Here's the part that matters. A mile east at Star Ranch the ground flips to Houston Black clay, which swells when it rains and shrinks when it dries. You're on the chalky edge instead, so you get less of the seasonal movement that cracks decks and shifts shells. Runoff is rated high, so a real storm still sends water and grit across the yard fast.

HOW WE GET TO YOU

Swimming pool repair in Huntington Trails, Round Rock

Our shop is at Forest Creek Drive and Red Bud Lane, a mile from your street. There's no straight line between the two, so the real route runs out to Gattis School and back down, about two miles and six minutes.

Gattis School is the north edge and the way everyone gets in and out. Red Bud Lane connects north to Palm Valley Boulevard and Highway 79. The SH 130 frontage road runs half a mile east, and the corner of TX 130 Frontage Road and Gattis School is the junction most people navigate by. Heatherwilde Boulevard heads south toward Pflugerville.

Forest Creek Park is three quarters of a mile out, both golf clubs sit under a mile, and Greenridge Park and Geneva's Park are just past that. Kaatz Lane, Hutto Lake and Hutto Lake Park are a mile and a half east. We're through here constantly.

QUESTIONS

Huntington Trails pool questions

How quickly can you get to Huntington Trails?
Six minutes. Our shop is at Forest Creek Drive and Red Bud Lane, about a mile away, and the route runs out to Gattis School and back down. Check the calendar for what's open, we often have same-day availability, or text us if that's your preference. We text again when we're on the way.
How does the water here affect my equipment?
It's hard. The city's 2023 water quality report puts the average at 249 parts per million, about 14.5 grains per gallon, ranging from 176 to 338 through the year. That lime builds up on salt cell blades and shortens their life, and it's rough on heaters too.
My neighbor in Star Ranch has deck cracks and I don't. Why?
The ground changes about a mile east of you. Star Ranch sits on Houston Black clay, which swells and shrinks with the seasons and is hard on decks and shells. Huntington Trails is on chalky Austin soil instead, which barely moves. Same weather, different ground.
What does it cost?
A Repair Diagnostic is $149 total. You pay $74.50 when you book to cover the technician's visit. If you approve the repair, that $74.50 comes right off your bill, so the diagnostic costs you nothing. You only pay the other $74.50 if you decide not to move forward. Weekly cleaning is $249 a month. Salt cell cleaning is $99. Filter cleaning is $129 for cartridge or $169 for DE. Green pool cleanup is $189. Pool inspection is $329. Full numbers on the pricing page.
What happens on the day of a repair visit?
We text before we head over. You don't need to be home as long as we can reach the equipment pad and the gate is unlocked. We diagnose and explain what we found in plain words. You get the price before any repair starts. Nothing gets replaced without your say-so. We're six minutes away, so a follow-up visit is easy to fit in.

We're around Huntington Trails most weeks anyway.

Want us to swing by your pool? Text us your address and what's going on. We'll figure out what it needs and what the fix costs. Then we make sure you're happy with it.
