POOL RESET SERVICE

Pool Drain and Pressure Wash
for Water That Is Too Far Gone

Some pools have been sitting too long for normal chemicals or routine cleaning to make sense. True Flow drains the pool, pressure washes the surface, removes debris, helps with refill guidance, and restarts the water chemistry after refill.

This is a multi-day reset service, not a quick weekly cleaning visit. If the pool can still be recovered chemically, Green Pool Cleanup may be the better fit.

WHEN THIS SERVICE FITS

When starting over makes more sense

Drain and Pressure Wash is for pools where the water has been sitting for an extended period and is no longer a practical chemical turnaround. If it would cost more to fight the water than to reset the pool, draining and washing may be the better path.

This service is often a fit for neglected pools, long-sitting water, heavy debris, severe algae, and pools that need a full reset before normal care can begin again.

The water has been sitting for months

If the pool has been ignored for a long time, a chemical recovery may not be the best first move.

The pool is full of debris

Leaves, dirt, and settled debris can make normal cleaning or chemical treatment inefficient.

The water is too far gone

When the water cannot reasonably be turned around with chemicals, starting over can make more sense.

You need a reset before regular care

After the pool is drained, washed, refilled, and restarted, it may be easier to move into weekly cleaning or water care.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

What the $549 service includes

The goal is to move the pool from a failed water condition back toward a usable pool that can be balanced and maintained.

$549 Pool Drain and Pressure Wash
  • Drain the pool: We start the drain process and remove the old water so the pool can be reset.
  • Pressure wash the surface: Once the pool is drained, we pressure wash the pool surface to remove visible dirt, debris, algae, and buildup.
  • Remove debris: We remove debris from the drained pool so the surface and water restart have a cleaner starting point.
  • Refill guidance: You can refill with a backyard hose or hire a water delivery truck. We will explain what to expect so you can plan the refill.
  • Chemical restart: After refill, we restart the water chemistry so the pool can move back toward normal care.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT PATH

Drain and wash is not always the first answer

A green pool does not always need to be drained. If the algae bloom is recent and the water can still be recovered, Green Pool Cleanup may be the better fit. If the pool has been sitting for months or years, Drain and Pressure Wash may make more sense.

Service Best when Next step
Green Pool Cleanup Best when the pool recently turned green, has an algae bloom, or can still be recovered with treatment, brushing, filtration, and follow-up visits. View Green Pool Cleanup
Drain and Pressure Wash Best when the pool has been sitting for a long time, is full of debris, or the water is no longer worth trying to recover chemically. Text True Flow
Equipment Diagnostics Best when the pool is not circulating, the pump is not running, or equipment problems may be part of why the water failed. View Equipment Diagnostics
HOW IT WORKS

A reset usually takes several days

Text or schedule the reset

Tell us what the pool looks like and how long it has been sitting. A photo can help us confirm whether this sounds like drain and pressure wash or green pool cleanup.

We start the drain

If the service is approved and scheduled, we start by placing the sump pump and beginning the drain process.

We wash and remove debris

After the pool drains, we return to pressure wash the surface and remove debris.

The pool is refilled

The pool can be refilled with a backyard hose or a water delivery truck. Refill time depends on the pool size and refill method.

We restart the chemistry

Once the pool is refilled, we restart the chemicals so the water can move back toward normal balance.

You plan the next care path

After the reset, we can help you decide whether weekly cleaning, water chemistry, filter cleaning, or another service makes sense.

POOL TYPE NOTE

Plaster and fiberglass pools are handled differently

Plaster pools can generally be drained completely for this service. Fiberglass pools require more caution and are generally not drained more than halfway because ground pressure can create problems for the shell.

If you are not sure what type of pool you have, text us a photo before booking. We will help you choose the safest next step.

REFILL PLANNING

You have two common refill options

After the pool is washed, it needs to be refilled before the water can be balanced. Many homeowners refill with a backyard hose. Others choose to hire a water delivery truck.

Local water restrictions may affect refill timing during drought conditions. The total timeline depends on pool size, refill method, pool condition, and how long the refill takes.

Backyard hose refill

Usually slower, but simple. Refill time depends on water flow and pool size.

Water truck refill

Usually faster, but handled by a separate water delivery provider if the homeowner chooses that route.

Pool drain and pressure wash FAQs

How much does Pool Drain and Pressure Wash cost?
Pool Drain and Pressure Wash is $549. This includes the drain process, pressure washing, debris removal, refill guidance, and chemical restart after refill.
When is drain and pressure wash better than green pool cleanup?
Drain and pressure wash is usually better when the pool has been sitting for a long time and the water is no longer worth trying to recover chemically. Green Pool Cleanup is usually better for a recent algae bloom that can still be treated and recovered.
Is this a same-day service?
The service may be started the same day when schedule allows, but it is not completed in one day. Drain and pressure wash is usually a multi-day process.
How long does the whole process take?
The full process can take several days and may take up to about a week. Timing depends on pool size, pool condition, drain time, refill method, and water balancing.
Who refills the pool?
The homeowner can refill the pool with a backyard hose or hire a water delivery truck. True Flow provides refill guidance, then restarts the water chemistry after refill.
Can fiberglass pools be drained completely?
Fiberglass pools require extra caution and are generally not drained more than halfway because ground pressure can create problems for the shell. Text us a photo if you are not sure what kind of pool you have.
Does this include acid washing?
No. Drain and Pressure Wash does not include acid washing.
Will this remove stains?
Pressure washing can remove visible dirt, debris, algae, and buildup, but this service does not include a stain-removal guarantee.
Does this include equipment repair?
No. Equipment diagnostics and repair are separate services. If the pool is not circulating or equipment problems caused the water issue, we may recommend Pool Equipment Diagnostics.
Can I text a photo before booking?
Yes. Texting a photo is a good first step if you are not sure whether the pool needs drain and pressure wash, green pool cleanup, filter cleaning, water chemistry, or equipment diagnostics.
