Pump gone quiet? Water turned green over a long weekend? Hutto is nine minutes east of us on Highway 79, closer than any other town we serve, so you're not waiting days for someone to come look at it.
Most people who find this page aren't shopping for a pool company. Something has gone wrong and they want to know who can look at it and what it's going to cost. Hutto is Williamson County, same as us, and it's a short run up from Round Rock.

Text Us What's HappeningThe old cotton gin buildings west of downtown became the Co-Op District, and it's the part of Hutto that still looks like the farm town it was in 1896. City Hall sits in it. So do a good number of the concrete hippos people put in their yards, which started with a circus animal that got loose off a train here in 1915 and never really left the town's imagination.
We mention it because it's the middle of our Hutto route. From the Co-Op District we're a few minutes from Fritz Park, Hutto Town Square Park, and the older streets in Hutto Square and Carol Meadows, and not much further from Star Ranch out east or Cottonwood down south. When someone in that part of town texts us, we're usually already coming through.
We're based near the corner of Red Bud Lane and Highway 79, in the Forest Creek area of Round Rock. Highway 79 runs straight east into Hutto and becomes the spine of the whole town. No highway changes, no I-35, no toll. It's about five and a half miles and usually nine minutes.
Traffic only matters twice a day. Highway 79 backs up westbound through Hutto in the morning as people head toward Round Rock and Austin, and eastbound between about four and six in the evening coming home. Midday and mid-morning it's clear, which is when most of our Hutto visits land anyway.
Once we're in town the route splits three ways. Chandler Road and FM 1660 take us north toward Hutto Highlands, Cross Creek and Emory Crossing. Highway 79 carries on east past Chris Kelley Boulevard to Star Ranch and Riverwalk.
And Gattis School Road and Old Settlers Boulevard run back southwest toward Brooklands, Cottonwood and the Brushy Creek side of town, which is the stretch that overlaps our Round Rock route. If you're anywhere along those, we're close.
Hutto sits on deep black clay. It swells up when it rains and pulls back when it dries out, and it does that every single year. Over time that movement works on things: an equipment pad settles unevenly, rigid plumbing gets stressed where it's glued, and gear that was level when it went in slowly isn't.

Hutto's water is genuinely unusual, and it's worth knowing about if you dose your own chemicals. The city's own water quality report lists total hardness anywhere from 41.8 to 369 parts per million, about 2.4 to 21.6 grains per gallon. That's an enormous spread for one town.
The reason is that Hutto blends three supplies. It pulls groundwater from Carrizo-Wilcox wells, buys treated Lake Granger water from the City of Taylor, and buys more from Manville. Which mix reaches your tap depends on where you're and what the system is doing that week.
So a bag of chemicals that worked perfectly for your neighbor can be wrong for you, and an online calculator built on a regional average is describing a town that isn't this one. We test your water rather than assume it.
The ground is the other half. The soil here's Branyon and Houston Black clay, the deep dark stuff that grew cotton. It holds water, swells, and shrinks, and over years it moves whatever is sitting on it. That's why we look at the equipment pad on a Hutto visit even when you called us about something else.
Open prairie and blended water make the calendar here different from the Hill Country towns west of us.
Summer. Full sun from morning to evening on open prairie, with almost no canopy to slow evaporation. Chlorine burns off faster than the label allows and the water line drops far enough to matter. Hutto is about nine minutes from our base, which is the whole reason we can hold a weekly slot here.
Winter. Freezes are the risk, and blackland clay moves under an equipment pad all year. Being this close means a freeze check is a short trip rather than a scheduling problem, so it's worth doing before the first hard night rather than after.
