Pool repair near Morningside Meadows, Round Rock, TX

Morningside Meadows, Greenridge and Bradford Park sit south of us off Red Bud Lane, about a mile and a bit from the shop. These are late-nineties and early-two-thousands pools, and we're on this street often.

OLDER EQUIPMENT, HARD WATER

What Morningside Meadows pools are up against

Twenty-five year old equipment plus water at about 14.5 grains per gallon is the whole story here. Nothing exotic, just steady wear that adds up.

Pumps past their run

A pump that has been going since the early two thousands has earned its retirement. Weeping seals, a new noise, or a motor running hot are the usual signs. Pool pump repair.

Heaters furred up with scale

Hard water is tough on heaters. When yours throws a code, we read what it's actually telling us, then repair or replace what's needed once you've said go. Pool heater repair.

Salt cells plate over

Hard water leaves a crust on the cell blades, so it stops making chlorine long before it should have worn out. Clean it on time and it's cheap. Skip it and you're buying a new one. Salt cell cleaning and salt system repair.

The neighborhood between Greenridge and Bradford Park

Morningside Meadows and the Greenridge sections next to it went in between 1999 and 2007. That makes these some of the older pools we look after, and it shows in a consistent way: original pumps that have often already been replaced once, heaters that have been sitting on hard water their whole lives, and salt cells on their third or fourth replacement. These are Williamson County pools, and we're through this part of Round Rock regularly.

Greenridge Park is right in the middle of it, and the whole area sits high, about 780 feet, which is one of the higher spots on our route.

SALT CONVERSION

Switching to salt, starting at $2,200

Most of these pools went in before salt was standard. Salt is easier to live with and gentler on the water, and with water this hard the cell needs cleaning on schedule either way. Text us and we'll come out and look at your setup. That visit is free: a conversion has to be priced off the equipment you actually have, so we see it first, then send you a written quote.

THE GROUND UNDER MORNINGSIDE MEADOWS

Why the ground along Dyer Branch matters to your pool

Morningside Meadows sits on chalky, lime-heavy ground at about 45 percent clay, and it's high, around 780 feet. Runoff is rated high, which means when we get a real storm the water leaves fast and takes grit with it.

So your skimmer baskets and filter take more of a beating here after rain than they do in a flatter neighborhood, and the lime in the ground is the same lime that shows up as scale on your tile. Filter cleaning on schedule is the cheapest thing you can do about it.

HOW WE GET TO YOU

Swimming pool repair in Morningside Meadows

Morningside Meadows is about a mile from our shop, five minutes down Red Bud Lane. Greenridge Park sits four tenths of a mile away and Forest Creek Park and Bradford Park are both under a mile, so this is squarely inside the route we already drive.

Red Bud Lane is the spine. It runs the length of the neighborhood and connects north to Highway 79 and south toward Gattis School Road, which is how we reach the Greenridge sections next door. High Country Park and Lake Forest Park sit about a mile out on the west side.

These are some of the oldest pools we look after, so a lot of our visits here are equipment work rather than water work, and being this close means a part run doesn't cost you a day. Old Settlers Park, Dell Diamond and Kalahari Resorts are all a short run north, with the Brushy Creek Regional Trail just west of that.

EVERY PART OF MORNINGSIDE MEADOWS

Pool cleaning service across Morningside Meadows and Greenridge

What your pool needs here depends a good deal on which streets you're on.

Bradford Park and the ridge

The streets around Bradford Park, the Brushy Creek Trail East and Kinningham Park, out toward Kenney Fort Boulevard. It sits high enough along here that wind rather than leaves is what fills the skimmer, which is why we clean filters more often on this side than a few streets over. Dry Branch and Dyer Branch cross it, and the Rabb House and Play for All Abilities Park are about half a mile out.

The Red Bud Lane streets

Running the length of the neighborhood, closest to our shop and the fastest for us to reach.

Greenridge

The sections next door around Greenridge Park, built in the same era and with the same equipment ages.

Toward High Country Park

The western streets nearer High Country Park and Lake Forest Park, with more shade and more leaf work.

The Gattis School Road end

The southern edge, where the neighborhood runs out toward Gattis School and Bradford Park.

QUESTIONS

Morningside Meadows pool questions

Do you service Morningside Meadows and Greenridge?
Yes, both. They're about a mile south of our shop down Red Bud Lane and we're through here most days. Check the calendar on this page for what's open, we often have same-day availability.
My pool is from about 2002. Is it worth repairing?
Usually yes. At that age you're typically looking at the pump, the heater and the salt cell rather than the pool itself, and those are all repairable or replaceable one at a time. A Repair Diagnostic is $149 and tells you exactly where you stand before you spend anything else.
How does the water out here affect my pool equipment?
Round Rock water is hard. That lime builds up on salt cell blades and shortens their life, and it's hard on heaters too. Keeping the cell clean on schedule is what slows that down.
What happens on the day of a repair visit?
We text before we head over. You don't need to be home as long as we can reach the equipment pad and the gate is unlocked. We diagnose and explain what we found in plain words. You get the price before any repair starts. Nothing gets replaced without your say-so.
What does it cost?
A Repair Diagnostic is $149 total. You pay $74.50 when you book to cover the technician's visit. If you approve the repair, that $74.50 comes right off your bill, so the diagnostic costs you nothing. You only pay the other $74.50 if you decide not to move forward. Weekly cleaning is $249 a month. Salt cell cleaning is $99. Filter cleaning is $129 for cartridge or $169 for DE. Green pool cleanup is $189. Pool inspection is $329. Full numbers on the pricing page. Same prices in Morningside Meadows as everywhere else on our route.
