Cat Hollow and Highland Horizon sit on softer water than the city side of town, and on ground that sheds a storm straight into your pool. Both change what your pool needs.
Most homes here are on Brushy Creek MUD water, about 183 parts per million or roughly 10.7 grains per gallon. On the city side it runs 249 ppm, about 14.5 grains. Softer water is easier on a salt cell, but it doesn't mean less attention. It means different attention.
Your soil is thin over rock, so the pool level moves during the rain rather than after it. What comes in is limestone grit, which is harder on a pump basket than plain dirt. Filter cleaning.

Cat Hollow was platted in 1998 and runs along O'Connor Drive, with Cat Hollow Park sitting in the middle of it. Highland Horizon backs onto it and shares the same water and the same ground, so we run the two together. Both are Williamson County addresses.

A pool inspection is $329. We go over the equipment and the pool itself: pump, filter, heater, salt system, automation and plumbing, plus the surfaces, lights, ladders and water features. We also look for visible signs of leaks, cracks and plaster wear. You get a written report with photos the same day.

The southern streets, on the lighter ground. Runoff carries grit toward the pool here, so skimmer baskets and filters fill faster after a hard rain.
The northern streets, a little higher up on the heavier clay. Ground like that swells and shrinks with the weather, which is what works on equipment pads and rigid plumbing over time.
The middle of the neighborhood and the greenest part of it. More trees means more in the skimmer, so these pools need the baskets watched a little closer.

Plenty of pools here are still on tablets. Salt is easier to live with and gentler on the water, and the cell needs cleaning on schedule either way. Text us and we'll come out and look at your setup. Cat Hollow sits on two different grounds and you can feel which side you're on. The south end near Barlow Drive is Georgetown stony clay loam, only about 30 percent clay, sitting at roughly 846 feet. The north end toward Hickok Drive is Eckrant stony clay at 42 percent, a little higher at 866 feet.
The south side is the interesting one. Light soil that sheds water fast sounds like a contradiction, and it isn't. The soil there's thin over limestone, so there's barely any depth for rain to soak into before it hits rock. Runoff is rated very high.
We get a lot of pump, salt cell and heater calls in Cat Hollow, and we're through here most weeks, so coming out to look is easy. Our shop is at Forest Creek Drive and Red Bud Lane, and the drive over usually runs around twenty minutes depending on the route and the time of day. We come across West Old Settlers Boulevard and down Sam Bass Road, then pick up O'Connor Drive, which runs right through the neighborhood about half a mile from the park. RM 620 and SH 45 are the wider approaches, and Avery Ranch Boulevard connects south.
Cat Hollow Park sits in the middle of everything here. The Liberty Walk Greenbelt and Disc Golf Course is a third of a mile out, and Brushy Creek Community Park is under half a mile.
The Brushy Creek Community Center and the Point At 620 are about the same distance out. There are more parks around this neighborhood than almost anywhere we work, which is most of why the skimmer baskets here fill the way they do.
