Pool repair near Pioneer Crossing, Round Rock, TX

Pioneer Crossing sits just off Palm Valley Boulevard, about a mile from our shop and a short walk from Old Settlers Park. A pump that quits on a Tuesday doesn't have to wait.

HARD WATER, EASY GROUND

What Pioneer Crossing pools are up against

The water is the main thing here. Round Rock city water runs about 14.5 grains per gallon, which is hard, and it works on your equipment year round.

Heaters crust up

Hard water is tough on heaters. When yours throws a code, we read what it's actually telling us, then repair or replace what's needed once you've said go. Pool heater repair.

Salt cells plate over

Hard water leaves a crust on the cell blades, so it stops making chlorine long before it should have worn out. Clean it on time and it's cheap. Skip it and you're buying a new one. Salt cell cleaning and salt system repair.

Pumps at the fifteen year mark

Most pools here are old enough that the original pump has done its work. Weeping at the seal, a new noise, or a motor running hot are all worth a look before they become a replacement. Pool pump repair.

PIONEER CROSSING, 78665

The neighborhood by Old Settlers Park

Pioneer Crossing went in between 2000 and 2019, which puts most of the pools here somewhere between fifteen and twenty-five years old. That's the window where the original pump and heater start asking for attention, and where a salt cell is usually on its second or third replacement. It's Williamson County, and it's a regular stop for us.

Old Settlers Park is right there, so a lot of families here are in and out of it all summer and the pool gets used hard. We cover the streets off Palm Valley and up toward County Road 110.

SALT CONVERSION

Switching to salt, starting at $2,200

A lot of the older pools along here are still on tablets. Salt is easier to live with and gentler on the water, and with water this hard the cell needs cleaning on schedule either way. Text us and we'll come out and look at your setup. That visit is free: a conversion has to be priced off the equipment you actually have, so we see it first, then send you a written quote.

THE GROUND UNDER PIONEER CROSSING

Why the ground off A W Grimes is easier than most

Pioneer Crossing has some of the gentlest ground on our route. About 30 percent clay in the topsoil and a low runoff rating, which means rain soaks in rather than sheeting off and carrying grit into your pool.

That's genuinely good news. You're less likely to see the cracked decking and shifted equipment pads that come with heavier clay a couple of miles east, and your filter takes less of a beating after a storm. The water is still hard though, so water care is where the attention goes.

HOW WE GET TO YOU

Swimming pool repair in Pioneer Crossing

Pioneer Crossing is a little over two miles from the shop, about four minutes. Old Settlers Park is just over a mile away and the Twin Ridge Walking Path runs along the near edge of the neighborhood.

We come in off Highway 79 and A W Grimes Boulevard, which are also how we reach the ball fields at the Cy Young Complex and Dell Diamond a mile north. Kenney Fort Boulevard picks up the western streets.

This neighborhood sits in the middle of a stretch we cover several times a week, so getting here's rarely the reason anything waits. Dell Diamond and Kalahari Resorts are about a mile north of the park, and the Brushy Creek Regional Trail runs west from there.

QUESTIONS

Questions from Pioneer Crossing pool owners

How quickly can you get to Pioneer Crossing?
About a mile, straight down Palm Valley. Check the calendar for what's open, we often have same-day availability, or text us if that's your preference. We'll text when we're on the way.
How does the water out here affect my pool equipment?
Round Rock water is hard. That lime builds up on salt cell blades and shortens their life, and it's hard on heaters too. The ground here's easier than most of our route, so the water is the thing to stay ahead of.
What happens on the day of a repair visit?
We text before we head over. You don't need to be home as long as we can reach the equipment pad and the gate is unlocked. We diagnose and explain what we found in plain words. You get the price before any repair starts. Nothing gets replaced without your say-so.
What does it cost?
A Repair Diagnostic is $149 total. You pay $74.50 when you book to cover the technician's visit. If you approve the repair, that $74.50 comes right off your bill, so the diagnostic costs you nothing. You only pay the other $74.50 if you decide not to move forward. Weekly cleaning is $249 a month. Salt cell cleaning is $99. Filter cleaning is $129 for cartridge or $169 for DE. Green pool cleanup is $189. Pool inspection is $329. Full numbers on the pricing page. Same prices in Pioneer Crossing as everywhere else we go.
My pool is about twenty years old. What should I expect?
That's the common age here, and it's the age where the original pump, heater and salt cell all start asking for attention within a few years of each other. None of it's dramatic if you catch it early. A Repair Diagnostic will tell you where you actually stand.

We're over by Dell Diamond most weeks anyway.

Want us to swing by your pool? Text us your address and what's going on. We'll figure out what it needs and what the fix costs. Then we make sure you're happy with it.
